Activity Report: Apache Women's Wellness Conference 5k Fun Run and 2k Walk

On April 24, 2007 The Mescalero Apache Tribe held their 2nd Annual "Apache Women’s Wellness Conference" at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino in the beautiful tall pines of the Mescalero Reservation. This was a 2-day event and we had almost 350 participants for the overall conference. I would like to give a big thank you to the 75 people who participated in the fun run and walk. The fun run and walk started at 7:00am and ended with refreshments. Each participant recieved a T-shirt, bracelet and hand-tene for participating. Although we had few participants, the fun run and walk turned out great and the diabetes prevention program staff recieved good feed back.
