Description
This was part of an education workshop that focused on ways to stay healthy. We thought that it would be appropriate to start the workshop with a physical activity. We chose to introduce the fishermen game from PAK, the physical activity kit. The kids loved it!! They did not want to stop.
Best Features
The best part was that parents, kids, tutors and other family members joined in and we were laughing and running and yelling-we had a blast!
Creative Features
Well the first round was kids only, then the second round, we invited parents, tutors and other family members to participate.
Challenges
I guess the only challenge was getting the players to stay in the boundaries and to stop playing.
Lessons Learned
The nest time we need to have orange cones to mark our boundaries and also have a set time and a stop watch.
Future Plans
We plan to keep JMI events incorporated into our monthly wellness nights and with our senior luncheons.
