Description

Just Move It SOUTH DIRECTION events were scheduled from June 4th - June 25 and was held in 7 communities.  We had many people come out to different events and walk, run, or ride bikes.  There was many different age groups represented from the babies all the way to the elders.  Each new participant received a free tshirt and at some events there was health screenings.  People were also able to receive a stamp on their shirt to help them show where they have been and also they signed a thank you card that was given to the chapter to thank them for providing fruits and the place to host the event.  Participants who participated in 6 events received a JMI Cap.  Overall we had 3,375 participants with 1,611 participants who attended 1 event and 1,764 who came to 2 or more events, of this number 133 participants earned their JMI Cap for coming to 6 events.   At the 7 events we had new registrants and returning participants, at T'iis Tsoh Tsikaad (Burnham) Chapter we had 307 participants (134 New, 173 Returning), Sheepsprings Chapter 427 participants (252 New, 175 Returning), Newcomb Chapter 425 participants (164 New, 261 Returning), Toadlena/Two Grey Hills Chapter 519 participants (250 New, 269 Returning), Sanostee Chapter 738 participants (413 New, 325 Returning), Red Valley Chapter 445 participants (179 New, 266 Returning) and Cove Chapter 514 participants (219 New, 295 Returning).  Here are some picture from the different events

Best Features
The best part of the events was seeing so many people attending as families and getting out there and being active. People were excited to receive their next step incentive of a JMI Cap.

Creative Features
We have participants who come to more than one event during the summer and they can earn a next step incentive, which is a JMI cap, by coming to 6 events.
