Region IX American Indian Alaska Native Advisory Council hosted its first Walk, Honoring our Ancestors, Walking in Wellness.

We hosted 125 Walkers from throughout four different Regions,  requesting them to walk throughout the month of May.

Participating offices had Team Leaders responsible to their Walkers by providing them support, partnership and understanding incorporating physical activity into their daily routine.

One office had over 40 participants supporting each other's efforts towards Wellness.

A Wellness Walk will occur in 2010, repeating its success, "Honoring Our Ancestors, Walking in Wellness".
